Meet the Trainers of Westboro Tennis and Swim Club
Jason Snoonian - Fitness Director

Jason has more than 15 years of training experience and a BS in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Jason specializes in circuit training, group workouts, sports performance, post rehab for shoulders and knees, and beginner to advanced workouts. Jason enjoys playing guitar, basketball, and is a rabid (and sometimes insane) Patriots fan. Jason has been with the Westboro Club for more than 7 years.

Philosophy: “If you think you can’t then you never will. Becoming fit is 90% mental and 10% physical.”

Cheryl Labriola - Wellness and Personal Trainer

Cheryl has more than 12 years of training experience and is an ACE certified Personal Trainer as well as a Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist. She also holds a certification thru the Arthritis Foundation Land Exercise Program. Cheryl’s specialties include weight loss, special populations, post rehab, interval training, and toning and flexibility. Some of the things that Cheryl enjoys in her spare time include hiking, reading, racquetball, shopping, and traveling.

Philosophy: “Being healthy is a way of life and physical activity is a necessary part of a healthy lifestyle. Life is a precious gift and exercise can prolong it and make it more enjoyable.”

Rick Bounds - Junior Fitness Director and Director of Health Programs

Rick has more than 12 years of training experience and has a BS in Movement Science as well as an MBA in Health Administration. Rick is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer as well as a NSCA Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Youth Fitness Specialist. Rick specializes in youth sports performance and body composition change. In Rick’s spare time he enjoys the outdoors, especially mountain climbing.

Philosophy: “Positive development is attained through planning, planning, planning.”

Joel Bates - Trainer

Joel has been training for more than 12 years and is a certified Personal Trainer thru AFAA. Joel also holds a BA in business management. Joel played 4 years of division 2 Lacrosse and has been coaching the sport for more than 18 years. Some of his specializations include core stability, weight loss, circuit training, group training, and sport specific training. Joel enjoys playing lacrosse, golf, basketball, racquetball, and going fishing.

Philosophy: “My goal is to help others achieve their goals.”

Dave Dimanno - Personal Trainer

Dave is a certified Personal Trainer thru the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Previously to working at the club as a trainer he instructed Uechi ryu karate for 9 years at T.Rose’s in Northborough. Dave specializes in circuit training, general fitness training, sports performance, weight management, muscle building and toning. When Dave is not training at the club or working construction he enjoys working on his mustang, water skiing, and snowboarding. Dave’s training philosophy is simple: “It does not matter how much you lift or how far you run, what matters is that you give it your all and make that last set your best set, leave it all on the floor, train hard, and have fun.”

Nate Jyringi - Personal Trainer

Nate is an ACE certified personal trainer and an American Red Cross certified lifeguard. He is also a MA certified K-12 physical education teacher, working in the Westborough Public Schools. Nate holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Springfield College in movement and sports studies and a clinical master of education degree in movement science from Westfield State College. His areas of strength include weight loss, weight gain, free weights, and individualized program development. Nate also enjoys training for road races, weight training, hiking, and competitive sports.

Rich Cassidy - Personal Trainer

Rich holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He has 3 years of experience working as a Personal Trainer. Rich’ specialty is designing sports specific training programs. He is also adept at helping people develop their core as well as their endurance. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, martial arts, and taking part in triathlons. Rich believes you should do something you enjoy and be consistent.

John Neill - Personal Trainer

John has been training for more than 12 years and is a Certified Personal Trainer and a Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant. Some of John’s areas of expertise include strength training, core training, flexibility, children’s fitness, and weight loss programs. In his spare time, John enjoys cycling, fishing, and working out

Philosophy: “It’s the little things that add up over time to make the whole. Do the best you can a day at a time, every day and you will reach your goal.”

Maria Rydelek - Personal Trainer

Maria has been training for more than 7 years and holds a BA in Business Administration. Maria is also a Certified Personal Trainer as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Her areas of expertise include sports conditioning, core stability, pre & post natal, and general fitness. Some of Maria’s hobbies include golfing, skiing, ice hockey, running, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Philosophy: “Progression is crucial to getting results; in order to continue to get results increasingly difficult challenges must be pursued.”

Bismark Osei - Personal Trainer

Bismark has been training for close to 10 years and holds a BA from Northeastern University. Biz is also a Certified Personal Trainer and a certified Coach Across America. Bismark played football while at Northeastern and also played 3 years of professional football. Some of Bismark’s specialties include circuit training, youth fitness, speed and agility training, sport specific training, and weight loss. Biz enjoys playing football, basketball, and soccer as well as running and dancing. Philosophy: 1. “Mind over Matter” 2. “Pick a time and let’s get after it.” 3. “Get it while it’s hot because it might get cold.” 4. “It might not come when you want it to but it will be on time.”

Lynn Pecci - Personal Trainer

Lynn is certified through American Muscle and Fitness. Before working at the club Lynn worked at National Sports and Fitness in Walpole as a strength and conditioning coach. Lynn works with people of all ages in general fitness, interval training, strength and conditioning and sport specific. Currently, she also does strength training for the Bridgewater State University softball team and she is also an assistant coach/recruiting coordinator. Lynn has played sports all of her life and especially enjoys ice hockey which she has been playing since the age of 4 and at the University of Rhode Island. When not working at the club, Lynn loves to spend time with family and friends, working out, sports and going to the beach. Lynn believes with training it is quality over quantity and the great thing is there is always something new to learn.

Caitlin Piper - Personal Trainer

Caitlin is a recent graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a BS in Nutritional Sciences & Wellness. In addition to working as a Personal Trainer, Caitlin is an Assistant Cross Country/Track & Field Coach at Westborough High School. Caitlin competed as a sprinter/jumper at the University of New Hampshire in their Division 1 Track and Field program. She is also competitive in Sprint Triathlons and Road Races at the 5K and 10K distance. Caitlin’s areas of specialty are Sport Specific Training, Interval Training, Core Stability, Running and Triathlon Training, as well as Strength, Conditioning and Agility Training. Caitlin will be an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer upon completion of the exam in early 2013.
