Pilates Reformer Training at Westboro Tennis and Swim Club

Westboro Tennis and Swim Club offers Pilates group exercise classes at no charge on our group exercise schedule, as well as a fee based service for Pilates Training with reformers.  Dyan Murphy is our reformer instructor and books private and duet training sessions.  Our reformers are located across the street from the main club at 30 Oak Street (our Kids Club and Kids Gym building).

Why choose reformer or mat?

  • While a mat workout can be more "crunch" focused, the reformer teaches you how to use your abs with every single movement without crunches.

Pilates reformer challenges more than just abs and low back!

  • The reformer adds resistance to both the arms and legs, providing more challenge to your entire body. When you move from your true core, every exercise is more effective. This translates as results for you!

About Dyan Murphy, M.Ed.

  • A Stott Pilates Reformer and Mat instructor since 2003, Yoga Instructor since 2001 and Fitness Instructor since 1991, Murphy uses all of her experience to help clients of all levels get stronger and find freedom from injury. With the ability to refine alignment, Murphy helps clients work to their potential in a non-competitive environment.

I took the Pilates "five-pack" (5 one-hour private Pilates lessons) with Dyan to strengthen my back which has bothered me for as long as I can remember. I now believe that core-strengthening is more than just a fad, but really should be incorporated as a foundation for any sports training for exercise endeavor, and therefore should be introduced at the onset of any such endeavor instead of turning to Pilates when an injury occurs. Pilates has not only helped my back, it's improved my posture, I feel stronger, and my stomach is definitely flatter.
