
Michael hails from the former USSR and has been at the club for over 15 years. He has been our Head Tennis Pro since 2002. Michael played competitive tennis in the USSR and ranked as high as 5th amongst juniors and 61st amongst adults. Michael received a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sports Science specializing in tennis from Moscow University as well as a Master’s of Science Degree from Pennsylvania State University.

Stephen joined us in the tennis department in May of 2005. Stephen graduated from Babson in 1989 with a degree in marketing. Stephen competes in USTA level tournaments and has recently finished the year ranked as high as #4 in New England in Men’s 35 and over singles and has also finished the year ranked #20 in the nation in the same category.
As well as having an extensive tennis resume, Stephen was an avid lacrosse player who played nationally and coached at the collegiate and high school level. If you are looking to get involved in tennis programs, Stephen is the person to talk to. Stephen has also been the coach of the 2016 State Champion Westboro High Boys Tennis Team since 2011.

Chris has been a teaching professional at the club since 2000. Prior to that, she was a tennis pro at another area club for 13 years. Chris is USPTA and USPTR certified and frequently attends USPTR seminars to keep current and get fresh ideas.
Chris is a former elementary school teacher with a Masters in Reading Specialization. Chris is a member of the United Racquet Stringers Association and is a NTRP Verifier Level 1. She has also attended USPTR Specialty Courses in Teaching Munchkins, Drills and Skill Building, Advanced Teacher Training and Coaching, Doubles Course with Pete Collins and Teaching Juniors.

Jason is a graduate of Roger Williams University where he received his degree in Business Management. While at school, Jason played four years of varsity tennis. Jason has been on staff since 2008 and teaches students of all ages and abilities. In addition to his responsibilities at the club, he has also been the boys tennis coach at Assumption College and Westboro High School. Jason still enjoys playing competitively on Westboro’s CMITA team. He is USPTA/PTR certified as well as being a USTA official.

Dan is a WTA Tour Certified Coach with over 25 years of professional experience developing, training and travelling with nationally ranked juniors, collegiate players and world class professionals. Dan has coached at all four Grand Slams having 7 players attain world rankings including a top 100 player.
On the collegiate level, Dan has trained multiple players who have achieved NCAA All American status. As a player, Dan was nationally ranked in both NCAA Division 1 and USTA Juniors. He is a two-time Massachusetts State High School Champion. Dan was also the recipient of the prestigious Cross Sportsmanship Award given at the Intersectional Team Championships.

Cassy Waung is an Assistant Tennis Pro and Tennis Coordinator at The Westboro Tennis and Swim club. Cassy joined us in 2018.

Juliette, as a pro and as a mother, is completely submerged in the world of tennis. Despite playing her whole life, Juliette has played the sport her whole life and enjoys competing at a 4.5 level where she has been a part of district champion mixed double team. She has experience in coaching of high-intensity junior high/high school tennis from her positions here at Westboro Tennis and Worcester Academy Tennis. Following her footsteps, Juliette has two daughters who also dedicated their energy to tennis. As the oldest pursued a D2 college tennis scholarship and the other is still competitively growing in this industry. This competitive and intense energy flows through the entire family, as her husband also professionally played and now, coaches soccer. Her physical determination does not stop with only tennis, but other recreational activities as well such as volleyball. Through all her athletic experiences, she found passion in her love for teaching the sport; but also the lessons that can be learned and share on and off the court.

Zach is originally from Westborough, MA and played 3 seasons at WHS from 2004-2008 winning a doubles team and individual district championship. In 2005 he attended Bollettieri Tennis Academy for his sophomore year of high school.
After high school he attended Springfield College and earned his degree in Sports and Recreation management. While at Springfield College, he started all 4 years on the tennis team and earned honors in All Conference doubles and individual team wins.
He comes to WTSC from The Longfellow club and most recently Paxton Tennis and Fitness. He worked at Paxton for 4 years in roles as Tennis Director and Junior Development Director. Zach is USPTR certified and the current assistant coach for Assumption College. He enjoys yoga, meditation, golf, and fitness when he is not on the court. Zach is also the director of the Varsity program here at WTSC.

Kaori joined the staff at Westboro Tennis and Swim Club in 2016 bringing with her many years of both playing and teaching experience. Prior to teaching tennis, Kaori worked in Regional Sales for Cisco Systems and as an Executive Administrator for Wellington Management.
Since 2015 she has been a tennis instructor for the town of Southboro and was responsible for organizing a very successful high level round robin at another area club. Kaori is PTR certified.
As a player, Kaori competes at the 4.5 level playing on Westboro’s top women’s CMITA and DBH teams. She has been a top ranking singles and doubles player in New England and has captained USTA 8.0 Mixed Teams to the Nationals.

Alan has been teaching for 5 years and continues to be very passionate towards the sport, staying in shape and competing in various tournaments. Having been around the competitive side of the sport for the better part of his life, he has attained a knowledge and understanding of the details and strategies of high-level tennis. He hopes to share his spirit and knowledge with all players that want to make noticeable improvements to their game.
When he is off court, Alan enjoys studying and observing the weather as well as other outdoor activities such as skiing.

Jai is a Senior Pro at The Westboro Tennis and Swim club and has just joined us this past summer. Jai played in the junior Australian open and also played at TCU division 1 and was ranked 5 in the country. He is currently the head pro at Westmoor Club in Nantucket. During his time in Florida, he ran the junior development at Junior Island Club.

Before joining Westboro Tennis and Swim Nick ran his own private tennis school that focused not only on developing high level junior players, but offering top notch instruction to adults and kids of all levels and ages.
As a certified high-performance tennis coach, Nick has served as a full-time private coach for multiple junior players ranked in the top 10 in New England and top 100 nationally, several of whom he has coached from a very young age. In addition, he has coached and traveled with players locally, nationally, and internationally to USTA, ITF, and professional events, including the 2020 US Open, where he worked with top 100 WTA player Vitalia Diatchenko.
While Nick specializes in developing competitive juniors, he is passionate about coaching players of all ages and levels looking to improve.
When Nick is not on the court, he enjoys taking road trips in Vermont and hikes with his wife and dogs.

Max started playing tennis when he was 4 years old. He went on be the captain on a US national team in high school where he competed in tournaments in Spain, Italy, France, and Holland. In 2014 Max helped win the State championship for Lexington high school. In 2015 Max was named captain of his high school team and earned all-league honors. He then went on to play tennis at Union college where he earned the Freshman Athletic Prize in 2016 and was the team captain from 2017-2019. Max has been teaching tennis for years now working at the Belmont Hill Club, Winchester Racquet Club, and the Westmoor Club.

Dennis is originally from Nairobi, Kenya. He played Davis Cup tennis for his country from 2010-2012. He played 4 years of Varsity tennis at the University of Charleston. He was a 2 time All-American and a 4-time All-conference team. His junior and senior years, he was team captain.
Dennis has been teaching tennis since 2010 joining the tennis staff at Westboro in 2015. Prior to coming to Westboro Tennis & Swim he taught tennis at the Kings Grant Racquet Club on Cape Cod. He enjoys teaching players of all ages and all levels.
Certification: ITF (International Tennis Federation) Level: 1

Greg has joined the tennis staff in March of 2021. He was born and raised in Framingham, MA.
As a certified USPTA professional he has been teaching in the Metro West area for more than 28 years. He has taught every age group and ability. Worked with a variety of teams, leagues and summer camps.
His philosophy over the years has been to develop a keen eye for teaching while having fun at the same time.
Off court Greg enjoys spending time with his family and going to different car shows in the area .
