Jiyi grew up in Hangzhou, China, and first picked up a tennis racquet at the age of six. Though he later shifted his focus to golf, his passion for tennis was rekindled during college and has continued to grow ever since. Before moving to New England, Jiyi began coaching in Singapore, where he enjoyed sharing his love for the game and helping players develop their skills. Jiyi is also certified through the nationally recognized Professional Tennis Registry (PTR), and is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and Japanese. Outside of the club, he works in marketing strategy and analysis. Jiyi strives to create a fun and encouraging environment where students can enjoy the game and grow through the sport of tennis.
